Administrator Scheduler

Job Title:                Administrator Scheduler

Responsible to:     Compliance Manager      

Salary:                   £7904

Hours:                    16 hours

Main Purpose of the Job:

To support the smooth running of the Home Services Department, which will include completing all administrative tasks, liaising with staff and customers, making sure the day to day schedule is running as planned.

Duties and key responsibilities:

  • To assist in dealing with complex telephone enquiries regarding cleaning, community support and shopping.
  • To gather client need and risk information to prepare for a service assessment
  • To maintain and manage a flexible weekly scheduling of Home Services Clients across various geographical locations within Torfaen and the surrounding boroughs. This will include allocating length of appointments, making and receiving phone calls/emails to and from clients/family/professionals
  • To respond to changes, client request conflicts and resolve quickly. Be able to work under pressure and have excellent time management skills
  • To set up and maintain accurate internal client web based database programme – Charity Log
  • To maintain client files
  • To provide a support role for workers in the community
  • Confirm work to enable production of schedules/staff packs.
  • Complete scheduled work to enable production of reports
  • Process card payments as allocated
  • To develop relationships, promoting sensitivity, building confidence and encouragement for clients to maintain access to the service
  • To support allocated administration project volunteers as allocated

To be responsible for personal learning and development, to support the learning and development of others and the whole organisation.

To participate in twice weekly Lateral flow testing and recording of results via Gov.uk

To meet for regular supervision with line manager.

To attend regular staff meetings.

To participate in developing and maintaining good public relationships.

To promote a positive image of older people and of Age Connects Torfaen to other agencies and the general public.

Nail Cutting Technician

Job Title: Nail Cutting Technician
Reports To: Compliance Manager
Responsible To: Chief Executive
Hours: Part Time, flexible between Monday- Friday
Salary: £8.91
Purpose of the Post: To carry out finger and toe-nail cutting for older people who find it difficult to do this for themselves.

Scope of the Post
1. To carry out the important service of toe-nail and/or finger nail cutting
following required hygiene and safety procedures, encouraging independence and promoting health and well-being at Widdershins in Sebastopol and at allocated outreach venues.
2. Registering of new clients, allocating appointments for existing and new clients, collecting fees and keeping simple client records/filing system and equipment stock records.
3. Able to make referrals to partners to enable client to access specialised podiatry services

Nail Cutting Job Description
Specific Responsibilities
1. To develop client relationships, promoting sensitivity, building confidence and encouragement for clients to maintain access to the service
2. Understanding the necessity for confidentiality
3. Maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety
4. To have excellent communication, listening and customer care skills
5. Be able to manage client case load, work well under pressure and have excellent time management skills

Job Title:              Home Services Assistant

Responsible to:   Compliance Manager

Location:               Throughout Torfaen       

Salary:                   National Minimum Wage plus holiday pay

Hours:                       Flexible between Monday – Friday

Main Purpose of the Job:

At Age Connects Torfaen, we are looking for dedicated caring individuals to step into a number of community support roles. If you are a caring, reliable, hardworking person who would like to make a positive impact supporting vulnerable older adults, this is the perfect opportunity for you.

Working within the Home Services Department you will promote independent living. The duties will include: Accompanying a person shopping, Support to access their local community, cleaning, shopping for the individual, providing respite within the home, providing a sitting service

We do not provide personal care provision. QCF Health & Social Care level 2 required.

Hours: Up to 16 hours, (we offer flexible working hours/days to support your work/life balance).

Days: flexible Monday to Friday

Experience:

  • Support Environment: 1 year (Preferred)

Licence:

  • NVQ Level 2 Health & Social Care (Preferred)
  • Driving License and access to a vehicle (Required)
