Following the Government announcement, all Age Connects Torfaen services have closed from 4pm today 24th March 2020, and will remain closed until further notice.
We are acutely aware, that for the people we support on a daily basis, this will be devastating news, and will be the start of a frightening period of time of isolation.
To that end, members of our staff will be providing keeping in touch calls.
Our Information & Advice Line is open Monday – Friday from 10am-3.00pm. Due to the understandably large increase of telephone calls, please bare with us, as we may need to find out information and respond to your queries once we have liaised with team members. Our staff team are working incredibly hard to answer your queries.
The public will still see our transport moving around Torfaen, please understand that this transport is being redeployed from its normal role, as they have been used to deliver meals, and deliver shopping.
We hope the public and our supporters will recognise that this is now a time for the whole community to take care of the older population.
Our thanks to everyone who has been so generous in your support and encouragement over this last few weeks, we will need your support even more from today onwards.
We hope to be back to normal as soon as we can after the current situation has passed. Please continue to support us in that hope.
